What is it about video games that attracts...

I say sports and art are more productive because it exercises your body and creativity (not to mention you can sell that painting for a few bucks). Maybe 'productive' isn't the correct term, but you get my point. And to those who defend video games by saying they exercise hand-eye coordination, you're right, but come on, we all know it's much healthier to exercise the body.
I don't see it that way. I just see them as benefits. Itz good to shed a few pounds by playing sports but over doing it is not good. If your body demands rest give it what it needs. Same goes with video games. Even if I take Soul Calibur seriously I rather have a good night sleep have a good meal before playing.

Besides sports, video games, and exercise are just lifestyles that ppl choose, but of course I would rather choose video games because itz more fun, just like a hockey player would choose hockey over anything else cuz to the player itz fun.

Why do I play?
The longing for incredible power I do not physically possess.
-And as a distraction from this fact.

Define nerd 'cause the term is kinda ambigous now.

I read comic books, books, watch all types of movies, have fun on the internet and game, yet I also work out and have a decent social life. Like last Saturday I was on a mountain trip all day with a bunch of people from my church, then came down to watch the NBA game and the UFC event.

What's a nerd/geek in this time and age?
