What is it about video games that attracts...

Maybe itz personality > looks, but let's not detract from my main point here.

Not really a point here... there was a thread like 4 days ago that was the same thing. It started out as definition of a nerd, then went into why gaming is/isn't nerdy.
 
Exactly cuz I'm just responding to his question my main focus is what Milliarde quotes:

I think what he means is that everyone likes SOMETHING [Art, video games, music, reading, etc..] but the people who play video games are labled as nerds and geeks. Why aren't people who like Music just as much if not more considered nerds? [I think.]

And why not talk about games since this is a gaming forum?
 
I say sports and art are more productive because it exercises your body and creativity (not to mention you can sell that painting for a few bucks). Maybe 'productive' isn't the correct term, but you get my point. And to those who defend video games by saying they exercise hand-eye coordination, you're right, but come on, we all know it's much healthier to exercise the body.
