Yay, picture time! >_>
I'm looking to put on 5-10 more lbs. dispursed over my frame, but with a focus on my arms, legs, and core. A few things I'd like to mention that I don't think anyone else pointed out:

- Mixing up your routine every month or two is really important. I remember when I started out thinking I didn't need to mix it up much, but when I finally came around and did it, it gave a real "shock" to my workout. I haven't looked back since. You don't have to replace -every single- exercise every time, but make enough changes to give your routine a "fresh" feel.
- Besides having a couple rest days every week, it's important to take a few -extra- days of rest every so often. I usually put in a few extra rest days in between mixing up my routine. And by a few extra days, I only took 2-3. Some people will tell you to take a week, but it never takes me -that- long to recover (a week is just too long, personally).
- Work out your core! I made the mistake of neglecting my core, thinking "it'll get worked out secondarily in my compound exercises, etc." It will, but it's not enough! As you can tell from the pics, my core doesn't have nearly enough definition (at least for my taste) because I didn't have a primary core focus workout until later in my regimen. Core workouts are relatively easy, and you can do them at home (like when you wake up, or whenever you have a free 1/2 hr. or so).
- Last but not least: have fun with your workouts! Going to the gym in a bad mood/negative attitude makes your workouts less fulfilling, and you usually don't get nearly as good of a pump. :)
