It's best to weigh yourself once every 3-4 weeks, rather than once every week.
It allows you to psychologically relax and enjoy the exercising process (and we do best at things we enjoy), and there may be times were you gain weight for something you've even done right (like drinking a lot of water). Having a long time limit allows you to properly assess what's going on with your body.
