Well no it's not taking itself very seriously, it's taking the situation seriously, because it's serious, but the show itself is in it's own limbo. The limbo leading to an exceedingly good show on it's own as well. The fanservice is more of a focus than the zombies are and that's the whole way it's been presented. Hell the creator himself does nothing but talk about how he would want a zombie outbreak to go and this is it lol, hot teachers with big tits bouncing while trying to escape and save students, short skirts flowing violently in the battle of zombies. Reading this guys reasons just makes the show all that much better. Not too mention it's high quality, good action, crazy ass bullet time etc... it's over the top awesome.

There's been PLENTY good anime all over. Angel Beats being one of the best, as is MOST to ALL Key shows. But yes Arakawa is great, Cross Game is great, K-on is good, One Piece is STILL fantastic and Fairy Tail is taking out all the other shounen shows with it's own greatness.

Unless the anime is drastically different from the manga, I don't see how this is possible. Fairy Tail started off decent and then just continued to get worse. It's gotten to the point where I actually stopped reading it because of how dumb this current arc is. Then again, all the current shonen sans One Piece is just as bad if not worse.
 
Bleach is the worst, after so many freaking fillers, we finally get back to the action...and that dumb ass chick ruins the whole series for me right there and then. Any time Ichigo and friends aren't in an episode I actually enjoy myself. Someone from that group needs to die quick, that dumb chick if possible please.

I think what makes a good shonen for me these days, is a lack of romance...because this is where shit fails miserably for many writers IMO.

Every time I think Bleach can't get any worse, it does. It started off so good too. I honestly hope this ongoing arc has a reset ending, so that none of it ever happened.
