and abortion has no business as a federal issue it should be left to the states. The whole topic is nothing but a "Red Herring" to distract us from the real matters at hand. Both parties are guilty of this.

I personally agree with you, but it has already been a supreme court issue, which makes it an issue for the Federal Government. The concept of pro choice is a Civil Liberty given by the states, but the argument of pro life transends the states. Murder is illegal in every state. Despite what we want, this will always be a national issue. I just hope that it will stop being a presidential issue. This is really something that the legislature should be dealing with, not the executive.

If only tax-payers were allowed to vote, I would vote Libertarian. That way, the only way we would allow more people to vote is to have a long-term tax reduction plan.

It sounds so easy to lower taxes, but what about the national budget and the debt. Taxes need to be lowered to the middle and working income families to help fight the consumer recession, but the United States needs to clear up its debts to stay a world power when it comes the time for the United States Bond Holders to collect their money.

China has over 12 Trillion Dollars in bonds ready to be cashed at any point. The United States owes more debt than any other country in the world. As much as I hate to hurt the rich, the working classes and the government are suffering right now. This could have a negative impact on investments and business spending, but we have to believe that helping the lower income families will lead to more consumer activity, which will help all levels of the economy in the long run.

I am not normally a fan of socialist policies, but we do need a more neo-liberal approach to give the worker and the consumer money to buy from the businesses.

Four years ago I was a Republican. Politics is like a Pendulum.

Obama promises EASY. The things I don't believe are rights: Home ownership, retirement, health care, raising a family. You earn these. THEY ARE NOT RIGHTS. You don't get them simply for being a person. I know... I'm a TOP TIER heartless conservative that eats stupid liberals for breakfast.
Don't be so hard on yourself. It's part of human nature to squish others under your primitive high heels while clawing (and/or sleeping) your way to the top.

And wow, if Obama's elected I will be awarded my very own home and a healthy family to put in it? Heavens to Betsy, he's got my vote.

If only tax-payers were allowed to vote, I would vote Libertarian. That way, the only way we would allow more people to vote is to have a long-term tax reduction plan.
Libertarians really exist? That aside, I'm a taxpayer who would still vote Democrat.

The thing is, I would leave this country if I were rich enough. I could tear Obama's plans apart with FACTS, but why bother?

They think: If I'm "patriotic," I SHOULD pay more taxes to "help the needy."

I think: If I'm patriotic, I CHOOSE who is needy.

well i wanted to stay out of this, and i hate to make it a skin issue, but i just don't trust people with NO pigment whatsoever. guess two hundred years or whatever in a foxhole will do that to a man.

plus look closely at mccain's big asymmetrical left cheek. i swear he's stuck half way mutating back to his lizard form.
