Not sure I understood your post Fuzzie. What does the bomb and virgins have to do with PETA? We can surely keep animal rights terrorism and extremist Muslim terrorism separate for clarity in this conversation. Also wasn't sure if you were advocating it or not...

Anyhow, in those research facilities they DO mistreat animals, are you kidding? I work with data gathered by slicing rat brains open. Cancer researchers deliberately induce cancer in fetal rats. They feed rats artificial sweeteners to see if they get cancer. A lot of his is eventually repeated with primates. However, let's be clear: animal life is not worth the same as human life. That's why we do this stuff.

LP: not sure what you mean by a pipe dream. The war on drugs is real, it's just kinda stupid (or a lot of it is). Some drugs though do really fuck you up, so we make it illegal for people to get them. Kind of like how it's illegal to help someone commit suicide. There are some drugs that should probably be legal, that doesn't mean though that all of them should be and that we shouldn't keep fighting against the import of heroin or cocaine.

I know there are plenty of other sources for protein, but I CHOOSE meat.
Still feel sorry for the animals...felt more sympathy for the dogs & cats at the pound then the cows, pigs and chickens.

and I meant the thousand virgins thing as a joke representing the extremities peta will go to to punish someone abusing animals.
