The leveling system in oblivion, morrowind, etc. I never played for pretty much only this reason. A leveling system that HAS to be gamed or modded is just absurd.
When SF4 came out, I really hated Ultra Combos. I would have rather just had supers like all the other games before it. These days, though, I'm over it.
