I have bigger hands so a small controller feels really awkward. I prefer the xbox controllers over the ps3 ones but there are ps3 controllers that look exactly like the xbox ones so I really don't care.
What's wrong with the Xbox controller?

People are fine with the xbox controller because they are fine with playing with analog sticks.
The rest of the population has been playing fighters on a d-pad ever since SF2 on the SNES, and feel that analog sticks are retarded for fighters. The Ps2 d-pad is pretty stupid with the split 4 buttons, but it is sadly the best thing out of the mainstream controllers.
I for one refuse to play on the analog stick even if I'm playing on a friend's 360 controller, and would rather just bitch about how I can't guard because it thinks I jump every third time I press back. It's seriously not difficult technology, but they have managed to screw it up.

I use the analog stick now, so I prefer the 360 controller over the DS2/3. I have no idea why I started it either, since I sure as hell wasn't playing PSX, Dreamcast, and PS2 fighters with the analog stick.
It doesn't really matter what you use to play fighting games as long you like it, and can do well with it.
