They say the ps3 controller is better because the analog sticks are next to eachother on the bottom of the controller; in a better place. The d-pad is better because the buttons are separate and on the top of the controller like the buttons; a great place.
The ps3 controller in my opinion is no better. The thumb sticks are so close together they hurt my hands after short sessions of use (of course stick positions are personal preference), they feel loose and their convex shape does nothing to help the thumb stay in place, it actively encourages it to slide off. The triggers are mushy and useless. So useless everyone puts the trigger functions on the top bumpers for ps3 shooters. The only thing I like about it is the d-pad. If I could get a pad that was a 360 pad with a ps3 d pad for under 50 dollars I would be very happy.
