What is it about video games that attracts...

Anyways back to the topic, so do video games create nerds or do the "nerdy" people are the one that gets attracted to video games because it is just more a nerdy thing than normal thing?

I don't really understand your question.
However, I'll try to answer the best way possible.

Video games is like books.
All it takes is one peek and you're hooked.
The catch is: its gotta look cool.

Example: Soul Calibur 4.

Nerds into fantasy and shit are all over World of Warcraft, jocks and black people buy madden every year, animu fags get excited every time a mediocre naruto game sequel is announced.

*This post contains horribly exaggerated generalizations*

Yeah... you and I both know that black people LOOOOOVE naruto.

Well if you compare video games to books.. it doesn't work for me because the last time I "read" a book was like 3rd grade... (I am serious) the Dr. Seuss books were the last books I read. Now you wonder how I manage through school (especially english class) without reading a book you say? Well I thank the internet for that. Anyways, still I can't figure out how video games can be compare to books, science, math, technology, art etc that nerds enjoy. Now now, I know I am being a stereotypic idiot, but yea...
