Weight Gain Thread

Lobo: Thats really cool I had never heard of Quinoa. Ill definitely be dropping by the whole foods store this weekend to get some, I have only been eating eggs and cereal in the morning and im getting a little tired of that. Ill PM you about recipes. PS. love the pic haha.

Babalook: I will be eating around 160 g of Protein a day. A lot of which will come from protein drinks I have between meals ( It'll help with getting 5 meals a day, every 2 - 2.5 hours). Thanks for the workout tips.

Playboy: You have a good point. My metabolism can handle a moderate index of high glycemic carbs, Ill add white pasta and potatoes to diet. And Im banking on the fact that I haven't worked out in a month and a half, to shock my body into growing.

Linkrkc: You sound like you know a lot about this. I cant tell you how much I appreciate all the input. I will make my three day cycle the one you recommended, and keep everyone at least weekly updated so I can get more feedback.

Franman: Im just like you, I can gain the weight but if I stop even for a week I lose it all back again. Love doing stairs too.

So anyway, I started a little slow with my workouts, but at least I'm well on my way to a good diet. By the way I only use whey protein, should I think of using any other supplements?

Whey is fine. I was about to recommend a meal replacement drink mix if you start to have trouble eating enough calories, but if you already have a protein powder, there are a lot of shake recipes online for people trying to gain weight. I really consider those two things food and not supplements, anyway.

Once you've been at it a few months you could consider adding something in for fun, but honestly, 95% of the stuff out there is either worthless or overpriced (I've tried almost all of it, haha). Don't get me wrong; it's not ALL trash, but I think a big part of it is that people don't want to "waste" their $50 bottle of pills, so they decide to train hard and watch their diet while supplementing. Then when they get results, they give the supplement most of the credit, ignoring their own consistency and dedication. =\

That's why I recommend waiting after you've been consistent for a while before adding anything. Besides, it sounds like you're already aware of the quicker gains after coming back from a layoff. If you add something now, how will you know if your gains over the next few weeks came from muscle memory or the supplement? It could give a false sense of efficacy.

suppliment that works....................prohormones lol there bad for you though and you have to be 18 or older lol

Ok so here are my first round of pictures SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG!!!. These are a week after I started, which was actually later than I had planned to lol. First of all I dont have a camera and I know I look like a douche holding up my phone and taking pictures in front of a mirror with no shirt but "c'est la vie". I figure this is the largest online community which I am actively involved in, and this diet/ workout plan Is an important part of my life. I am not about to join a workout forum so i need feedback from you guys lol. Hence im willing to get bashed a little in order to get some suggestions/ opinions :)
