Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown

This version will be considerably easier than previous VF's and it won't be so hard to play and get into. VF4 was much more technically demanding. Hopefully reviewers will actually pick up on this and not scare people away with talk about it's complexity.
 
This thread is not nearly as hype as it should be. You guys suck.

I'm hype as fuck about this game finally hitting console.

Better LATE than NEVER.

still.. 5 years? banging on sega's door for VF5? why not bang on the door for Vf6 now.. it's not that i think it's pointless, i'm happy for the VF fans who finally get to play this game, just.. feels like sega is not bothering to develop VF6 but they still want to capitalize on this fighting game revival so they just release a home version of a 3-4 year old arcade game in the summer of 2012...

also that interview felt like gamespot was talkin with a robot.

You'll get little disagreement from me, here. This is definitely way too late, and the lack of a spectator mode is inexcusable. Like I said before, however, if history is any indicator there's a good chance Sega will announce VF6 after FS drops, and if people want VF6, they had better vote with their wallets and buy the living shit out of VF5FS. The community clamored like hell for FS, even sending Sega a 500+ page petition that got "Thanks, but no console release planned" in response. Now we're finally getting it, but years later with gimped online features and a vague promise of DLC down the road.

Point is, Sega are terrible listeners, but if there's one thing they'll (hopefully) listen to, it's coins cascading into their coffers.

And besides, VF5FS is fucking awesome, and it probably won't be much more than $15, seeing as the maximum amount MS allows developers to charge for DLC is $20, if I recall.

BUY THIS FUCKING GAME.
 
This is good news. I thought this series was console-dead. Time to start practicing again.

2012: Revenge of the Z Axis... I'm all for it.
