Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3

I'm running cap point because he is a battery himself and isn't meter dependent. He also builds positive meter in his huge 750k combo that become 800-900k with Task. I use vert assist with Task so i can zone and pressure with shield, and Akuma tatsu is my cross up+roll set up. So tons of freedom with Cap on point first and having 2 very useful assists for different rolls.

Cap needs a cross up assist, so I wouldn't be using vert assist unless I had Akuma and as of now Akuma/Task have tons of synergy and Akuma is the better anchor so he fits perfectly (and really is a dirty assist with cap too). The reason I do Task in middle is for 4 reasons:
  • DHC Cap > Task is much easier, vise versa it is very common but not in all scenarios
  • Task can abuse meter openly, Cap can only as an unsafe punish
  • Task is a safe DHC in some scenarios
  • Cap is a bad anchor, and Akuma is the strongest one, Task can do any. Cap/Task benefit from all assists, Akuma only really benefits from Task. So I can easily push Task around anywhere on my team for many different synergies.
I haven't made assist combo's yet, but this team seems to have a lot of TOD potential.

Neat Dr Strange idea. As for Zero, he scares the shit out of me with his charge shot shenanigans. I need to try him again but Right now I want characters I feel comfortable with and I've been all over the board with great ideas, but failing at really grasping the characters till I hit these guys. My Task is too strong for me to let go personally so I look for teams to build around him.

GG's SHIN good to see your Dante is still annoying as shit, seeing you go for those Nova H loops made me laugh because I knew you were going to drop it. That loop is already hard to do offline and online is just not going to happen, thats why I just stick with the simple bnb's with nova and even then I was dropping the combos like crazy. We can't play our characters like we want to and it sucks.

I had no idea that Frank causes chip damage on his normals when he reaches lvl 4 and the range he has is insane, also the way you were tossing pies was pretty nice.

On to me! How you like my Doom and Dorm combination? The amount of keep away I can do with them in this game is so nice.

lol yea very GG's Juecey. Dante is still the heart and soul of my teams, but the nerfs he got really sucks XD. Increased pushback on everything, less overall damage, and Hammer invincibility cut in half really suck, but i'm a Dante main through thick and thin. I put in way too much work to drop him. At least he still has Reverb Shock-->Fireworks abuse.

I don't even know why I even attempted the Nova loops either, but the damage is just too good to try and pass up. Doesn't hurt that that shit looks oh so stylish too lol

Lvl 4/5 Frank is pretty daunting to go up against. His range becomes ridiculous and everything he does will hurt. Also, trying to throw him becomes nearly suicide because of his s.M and j.M being so ridiculous. Getting to this point is pretty difficult though so thank God I have like, 10 different setups to get him to lvl 4/5 XD. In the meantime while I'm stuck in lvl 1, I just abuse his Pie Toss and slowly crawl my way in lol I will say that its a lot better than I gave it credit for but its no Samurai Edge.

Your Doom and Dorm team was pretty annoying to go against since the only person on my team that could really go against it was Dante and once he was out, it was pretty much it. There's no way a lvl 1 Frank can deal with Hidden Missiles coming from above, a Purification up his ass, and a Flame Carpet in his face lol Nova has a bit of an easier time, but its still a tall order. You've got some great stuff there. I'm still trying to come up with a Dorm team myself as well as a Chris team.

The increased pushback only affects some of his combos, mainly the easy-mode ones (L, M, H, S, etc.). All his advanced combos work, and they do the same amount of damage as before, thanks in part to Million Dollars being a mashable hyper. My Dante/Viper DHC combo (That uses Vergil and Viper assists) does 950k, and it's pretty basic. If I added in acid rain loops and whatnot, it'd definitely hit the 1mil mark. So yeah, his damage didn't go anywhere, it just became a little harder to get to.

Btw, I don't think Hammer invul was really cut in half, was it? The invul was just removed from the startup. He's still fully invincible throughout the rest of the animation. I don't know any frame data, so whether or not the invul has (by technical terms) been cut that much is a mystery to me, but I'd wager it wasn't that much. Unless of course you're exaggerating, to which I'll say, "my bad."

Alright so I am thinking that I might want to pick up someone else besides Hawkeye. I was thinking of either learning Dante, Vergil or Strider. I mean with the missle assist and having Dark hole for lock down I think I can pretty much toss in someone stronger than Hawkeye for when my zoning can't win a match. Out of those 3 who would mesh the best with Doom and Dorm?
