Imminent Heel Turn
I started to read all that shit, then I got here and had to stop.
This is patently false. Minor and major transitions can be blocked. Only major transitions can be reversed, although if the opponent tries for a minor transition, you get an option-select transition block. However, if you miss a reversal, you are unable to defend yourself momentarily from any grappling offensive.
PS: A decent opponent knows your punches from the bottom of half guard do negligible damage and will just gas you out and let you continue until they are ready to KO or submit you. Your activity on the ground allows the fight to stay grounded. If you are blocking and your opponent still is trying to just transition block, the ref will stand you up.
in half guard, your opponent can do a minor transition to get to side control, and you can't stop him by transition blocking because it's a minor transition as opposed to a major transition.
