To stick or not to stick, that's the ?

you definatly need to get used to the d-pad, analog stick is horrible for any fighting games.

On the 360, the analog stick is definitely better than the d-pad imo. The problems with analog sticks in general are far outweighed by the fact that the 360 d-pad just doesn't work.

the d-pad may not be as accurate, but shouldnt be a problem for any of sc4's inputs. my main problem with the stick is doing 8wayrun moves and impacts. personally i find i can do any input much faster on the d-pad.

I'm thinking of getting a stick perhaps even dreaming of getting one. I'm thinking so far the HRAP 3 SA. I'm getting sick of my fingers slipping to the wrong buttons when it comes to the critical moment to perform the moves I want to perform. Maybe I don't have to button bind after all which I need to mostly for the pad.

I had very little exp in handling the arcade stick, but I'm sorta getting the hang of it maybe with Sanwa buttons being sensitive I can get a good responsive input on certain situations.

hrap sa is a very good stick. probably the best you can get along with the madcatz TE. (they have a slightly different layout so its more about taste than anything else)

and you can mod it so it works on both platforms -> you have the same controller on xbox and ps3, no need to adapt when you play at a friends / at a tournament / whatever

I don't really think there is a major advantage but sticks can help you pull of more precise moves easier and the buttons are more responsive then the controller.IMO I find sticks alot more fun to play with its like your playing on a mini piano.
