Things in Video Games that make you hate what you normally like in Real Life.

Ideally, love shouldn't hurt at all but at the very least it shouldn't hurt physically. I don't want to bore you all with the details but my life alone is a good enough example of why physically disciplining a child is not effective.

You'd be amazed at what people will do under the pretense of parenting.
I'd rather hear the details because every parents method involves some sort of discipline.

Mine started the minute I walked. Starts from slap on the wrist then evolves to drastic measures as I grew.

Spanking may not work for everyone, but everyone has to make the drastic measures because what you put in is what you get.

tl;dr
I believe I either spoke back or said something smart but I was punched in the stomach by my parent for doing so. This was in elementary school. 2nd grade or below.

All throughout my early school years, there would be days where I would be kept home from school because my parent hit me so hard (usually in the face) it left marks and she didn't want others to see it. (So, if what you are doing is right, this wouldn't occur.)

When I was about 5(?) I believe I didn't tell the truth or didn't tell her what she wanted to hear and so she threatened to light my only prized belonging on fire in front of me. Stood in a corner and got hit with objects until they broke.

If I refused to eat something, it would be dumped/thrown at me along with whatever it was served on which is strange in hindsight because when I got older that escalated to assault and force feeding.

No offense to your parent, but isn't that abusive behavior?

I'd get pinched and such, but I can see why spanking is a no no to you.

I'm not getting on my soapbox. My point is that everyone has a choice. Neither violent video games nor what I posted made me into a criminal, a murderer, or a broken individual. Everyone can still keep going and be as functional and productive as possible.

True. I was referring to the extreme idiots who go far anyways. I've watched many violent stuff but ironically it's what makes us human. Apologies if what I said offends anyone.
