The Weight Loss Thread

Great job, Shogun. For how long you do p90x now? I'm gonna start again next week, I've got 1,5 months left to surgery and I actually gained weight... my plan has failed, I wanted to be approx 10-12 % BF by June, I think I'm 20+ now .___.

Well I can't say exact date but I will be doing it for a year by the second week of July so....about 9 months? I'm gonna post my day 1 to what I am later to show the comparison.

People who haven't seen me in months don't recognize me at all, even people who see me on a daily basis just can't believe it.

Y'all P90X'ers is hyyype. Psych' naw... Shogun, you are so right. My diet now is like this: I eat what I want so I'm not eliminating anything but I've limited how much I eat based on calories. My limit is 1,202-1,454 per day, average 1,328. Now of course, I could eat junk and get those calories, but that would mess with my metabolism which I want to increase and I would lack energy if I did so, so instead I choose healthier foods most of the time. I drink about 64 ounces of water a day, and I run/jog/walk 3.5 miles a day. This morning for example I ate eggs, ham, toasted wheat bread w/ butter, and a grapefruit. Total was 426 calories. So now I'll eat a snack 2 hours before lunch, then lunch, and all that jazz... y'know what I'm talkin' 'bout.

I'm not hungry which is like a big part of it too. Keeps me honest. The fad diet I was on last year, dude... I was craving, man. I would end up breaking my diet almost all the time so you know it wasn't making any difference. This way is easier. I just gotta look at the label and punch that in the planner and keep track. It does take some discipline but I just wanna be healthier and lose weight.

Oh, congrats on being on the X for 9 months! I'll be on to check your thread to see that difference with the pics. (No homo) It does motivate me even though I'm not using P90X.
