The Weight Loss Thread

^

Yea that stuff is crazy! some days my shedule would be class from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m to go to work 5p.m. to 11 p.m. only to wake up to going to class at 8 the morning the next day, which often led me to doing p90x until midnight and later and not going to sleep till about 3 in the morning (due to homework and all that). I'm really suprised I pulled all that off. School and work is pretty hard but stack a extreme workout schedule on top of that and it's mental murder! Lol, but it's so rewarding when you top it off.

GL with your goals guys!

Planning on gaining 10 pounds during this two week winter break (wishful thinking lol) so I can hit 154 lbs. Also need to to lose maybe a pound or two of fat that I gained during exams week. I was planning on making a "Weight gaining" thread with some pics and my workout schedule so I could get some feed back but I think i'm going to leave that for 2011 :).

No. Actually not necessarily. If a body is kept in a sedentary position, and there is no jump-start to a persons metabolism, such body could adapt to the low calorie intake and thus remain at a specific weight.

Unless you are talking about not eating which is possibly the worst thing you could do if you want to lose fat. When you don't eat for extended periods of time, your body takes note of the energy deficiency and thus stores your next meal as fat, so it is "prepared" for another period of low energy intake.

So no. its not just calories in < calories out.

Curse this amazing body!

Either way, I don't have too much to say along the lines of workout routines, but I will say that it's easier to do more monotonous workouts with a friend or two. And, other than that, try to do something you enjoy. Though it's cold out, you can go to a gym and really try to take up something like tennis, do water training, basketball, or something (something you, ideally, find fun and have been interested in). But whateva.

And don't forget to stretch and do your calisthenics!
