Let's talk about Norik, for a bit. Since I don't know your measurement of success, let's talk about what you've done that is successful in any competitive world you've been to, cause I don't think I've ever heard you being praised for anything you've done before. So what have you done that was pretty successful? Also I'm not looking for quantity of what you've done, I'm looking for quality. As for your post about not believing people talking about themselves being good, that's not what I was getting at. True, but not what I was getting at. I've been complimented by others who "are" great. Never myself... Those old times though n.n where people have seen me talk about myself in SC was nothing but a troll moment. As for seriousness though, I would have to ultimately say I'm pretty damn good for someone who uses harder choices.

DEX let me summarize Noril's horrific, biased and retarded logic in a quick summary::::

Basically those who have no accomplishments, don't feel accomplishments mean anything. Because if they did, then they'd feel bad about their own pathetic lives. So instead they rationalize, "Rich people have lots of money, but they must live sad lives!" or "You're muscles don't mean anything, I totally am trying not to compensate for my own jealousy by saying that!" Basically the ones with the least are always the ones most critical of others.

Basically, I look at it from two sides of the glass. You have people who aren't big gamers, aren't part of the FGC, say e-fame doesn't matter, but then say things like "You're a joke of the FGC!" "Youtube subs don't matter!" Why would they care what a group of people thinks about you whom they don't wish to gain their own personal acceptance from??

The Answer::: They're hypocrites, ignore them.
I lost all interest in competitive Calibur (and competitive gaming in general) Besides, I'm not a very competitive person by nature;
^ Ahh.. The admittance of a failed man trying to cling to whatever dignity he still posses, without acknowledging any inferiority to those who still try to become competitive gamers. Very classy!

Hypocrisy was what I was thinking; I'm starting think that maybe this community does that shit a lot. I remember great one tried to pull that shit off on me. Something about little cas characters being unable to win or some shit. Then again I could also see from his pov. He has no power there, so he wouldn't risk playing as one with no proficiency of the changes of being a little cas. Hypocrisy & assumptions; cause how do we know if your subs have their own personal acceptance. What if they did?

The last thing to sum it up is the over reacting part where they assume your implying shit. Maybe were not being very thorough enough or something. Hypocrites assume, then over react. lol; but DAMN Ish n.n Don't make the poor man feel too bad. It was his choice not to be one, I guess. Shouldn't have tried to talk competitive though w/o being one. That was a mistake.

I just dislike it when people insert themselves into discussions they have no presence in... =P

The classy disclaimer at the end::: "I'm not a competitive gamer, nor have I ever been one...." right after they get done probing and degrading the mindset of competitive gamer's apparent egos (A mindset they would know very LITTLE about after admitting they've never been one.).

  • "Over half the people who claim to be better than average are a bunch of fucking liars who've never even been to a tournament."
^ Reading this reminds me of people in Street Fighter, who would bash you, then lose 3-0, and instead of recognizing their comparatively inferiority to you, they'd compare you to a tournament player like Wolfkrone who is comparatively superior to both of you!.... It's a noob's keen way of devaluing your opinion of yourself without actually saying you're better than them.
