The Eyes of a Competitor

What level of skill do you consider yourself? (Be true to yourself)

No. What I'm saying is you can't trust anyone to describe themselves and their abilities because everyone is biased and few people actually know what the fuck they're talking about. So I don't.
Let's talk about Norik, for a bit. Since I don't know your measurement of success, let's talk about what you've done that is successful in any competitive world you've been to, cause I don't think I've ever heard you being praised for anything you've done before. So what have you done that was pretty successful? Also I'm not looking for quantity of what you've done, I'm looking for quality. As for your post about not believing people talking about themselves being good, that's not what I was getting at. True, but not what I was getting at. I've been complimented by others who "are" great. Never myself... Those old times though n.n where people have seen me talk about myself in SC was nothing but a troll moment. As for seriousness though, I would have to ultimately say I'm pretty damn good for someone who uses harder choices.

:8: What is it with OP derailing his own threads?

I lost all interest in competitive Calibur (and competitive gaming in general) the moment IdleMind was BANNED FORVER. Plus, the closest player to me is four hours away, so fuck that. Besides, I'm not a very competitive person by nature; the only competitive aspect of my life is chemistry class, where we out-nerd each other. I'd rather collaborate/tell people what to do.

That is all I have to say on the matter; my personal life is none of you business.

You've never done anything successful in a game of competition? Wtf? Also, I never asked about your personal life, I asked about your competitive gaming experience in what was successful in it. Giving me something about school was completely missed over what I was asking you for. So you've never done anything competitive, you like to debate others who do, must be because you like it, & you want to talk about something that only a competitor should be concerning themselves with? I take it you want to help or get some message across to all people for them to understand something. Cause your most certainly on my ass about a lot of things all the time. Why do you talk about competitive players & gameplay & their own measurement of success when you aren't one who has any yourself?

Is this weird? Like, I once won a middle school Melee tournament with Luigi, but other than that I don't really play competitively... Is this expected of a person?

Also, I never asked about your personal life, I asked about your competitive gaming experience in what was successful in it.
My bad, I misread your post then. You might want to watch your word choice more closely, because that's what it sounded like.

And as I've said before, I've never played games competitively in my life. I did want to at one point, but I lost interest for several [personal] reasons.

TIL Internet discussions are competitive.

By this logic, the only people allowed to talk about the moon would be those who have walked on it. It also implies that only tournament players can reply on this thread.

Do note that I never implied I'm good at this game or know about its intricacies, that was the entire point of my original post: that we casuals have no reference by which to judge our abilities, so this thread is pointless to begin with. By asking me about my "successes" (wat) you entirely missed my point.

I guess I should just stop, since we're not going anywhere.
