It's not a Batman movie, it's a Bruce Wayne movie.

Which is why it's my favorite of the trilogy.

He is both, the best batman and the best bruce...guy is awesome.

I think Michael Keaton was a better Batman, to be honest. Bale does that silly voice that everyone makes fun of (he wasn't as bad with it in this movie compared to TDK, thankfully) and I'm not a huge fan of the mask in the newer films. It seems too tight and egg-shaped. The suit looks spectacular from the neck down, though.

One thing I do think was funny though was how Burton/Keaton Batman just wasted everybody without giving a shit. Not very Batman-like. While the Nolan/Bale Batman has the "No guns, no killing" thing going for him, Keaton was just "No guns, no killing except by throwing people from lethal heights or gunning them down with my Batwing machine guns that I can't aim."

tldr; keaton > bale as batman, nolan > burton for the way the character is portrayed, bale > keaton as bruce wayne, original outfit mask > new outfit mask, new outfit everything else > original outfit everything else.
