Taki's Replacement Revealed?!

To me the biggest problem of all is Namco having committed to setting the story 17 years later. That was an unbelievably STUPID thing to do.

Why tie to restrictions that are self-made, that failing an embarassing u-turn will lead to [generally] badly recepted changes like replacing Taki.

PS the new character design lacks personality.

I've always been perfectly fine with what people refer to as "clone" characters, as long as their movesets are unique enough to make each one feel different. Even after seeing the Patroklos and Pyrrah gameplay footage, they could still include Cass and Sophie. I'm holding out hope that any classic character that is actually replaced still returns to the roster. For example: Taki gets cut for real. Recycle SC4 Taki with the new light/shading engine, move tweaks, and balance with official SC5 roster. Cut out anything that requires extra work like extra weapons, background story, endings, CAS, ect. You can change the 1p/2p costume colors but thats it.
I don't know shit about making videogames and I can imagine even recycling SC4 characters would be a lot of work (BALANCE of a huge roster being key). I just think it would be cool to have all the past favorites, even if the're barebones versions.
