Skyrim

Bethesda can make engines, they need someone like square to do the gameplay, and nobuo to compose
No offense but that's an idiotic sentiment. Square's last few efforts at making their own final fantasy games have fared terribly. Both FFXIII and FFXIV were colossal failures. Then you want to force them to try appealing to a western audience? You may as well be advising bethesda that they can't go swimming without first chaining a large boulder to their legs. To that end a final fantasy soundtrack would not fit a bethesda game. What's more I am not crazy about final fantasy soundtracks and bethesda has fine composers, music is NOT their problem.

let me fix your post for you:
Omg I am a FF fanboy, I love FF and all games should be FF!!!

That said you are certainly on to something. What they suck at more than anything these days is writing. They do not know how to balance systems or pace a narrative. To that end they do need somebody else to handle their game play. I thought fallout new vegas was the best game they put out in a long time, bugs aside, but that was handled by Obsidian entertainment. (A gaggle of interplay, troika and bioware refugees). I think a western developer wouldn't make a bad partner.

lol if I took offence at on-line posts I'd be pissed off most of the time, I was more leaning towards there ff7-9 work so I should have put 'square' but ah well , nobuo didn't only do ff work, and either way it not a case of musical styling, more on the basis of his ability, he is a great composer in general, he understands forms, development, use of techniques such as sturm und drang, something western composers fail to do a lot of the time, the skyrim main theme is the only half redeeming piece of music in the game, the rest of it is half assed loops poorly ornamented. The game is very much meet someone, wary of first, then bada boom im your leader lol, there needs to be more give and take, with some development.

Obviously this is only my opinion ^^

This is very fair to say. The impression I get at the moment is that Pete Hines has way too much say on bethesda's projects.

Oh wait you mean in game. Also fair to say though. Relationship building has to be believable. In morrowind half the game was building your credibility.

Well to be fair it's usually more involved than an hour :/. Besides, side quests don't really exist/aren't that complex in FF. The objective of the game isn't "become head of the mages guild" so of course it'll receive less attention. The problem is you're comparing an open world game to one with a very narrow focus :/.
