Skyrim

NECROBUMP!!!!

And dear mother of GOOOOOOOOD!!!! If nothing else Bethesda knows how to get my nerd juices flowing!

Just started a new character today. I'm gonna go sword and shield with heavy armor, and I decided on a redguard. Will see how this goes later down the road...

That has been my main character in every elder scrolls game since morrowind. Tip of the hat.

So I was pretty much sick of Oblivion. My first initial reactions to Skyrim when I first saw it were not good. After playing it for a while now, I can honestly say now that it is vastly superior to Oblivion.
*fist bump*
I'd say while not as good as morrowind, much better than oblivion. Morrowind still wins hands down for the uniqueness of the world, it's sheer scope and the amount of freedom you had with magic. The chief problem with oblivion as I saw it was that everything leveled up with you, making leveling up something that burdened, rather than rewarded you. Get to level 50 and expect to hack at a dremora for ten minutes before you can move on to hacking at the next one for ten minutes more. Here, while some people might complain the game gets too easy, you actually get to feel your character increase in power as they level and gain skills. I appreciate that. Do I feel bad that I can swat a dragon after 140 hours of investment? Not really. I expect that I should be the baddest of asses in the land after spending piles of treasure on my skills, clearing an army's worth of monsters out of shadowy places and doing umpteen quests.

I was just playing this last month. Old hard drive died and I lost my saves (PC) so I started a new game and I have to say some things have changed. Skills take longer to level now (blacksmithing MUCH longer) and bonuses to enchant and one handed dam cap out at something like 260%. So while you can still be a beast it's not AS big as before. If any of you have this inyourlibarires then I urge you to play it again.

What brought me in here? Wanted to see if anyone saw the new trailer... As a fan of morrowind I am psyched. Looks like we're returning to the region with corpus creatures, reiklings, ashlander and bonemail armor, netches, stilt striders, telvanni and redoran architecture and ice armor and weapons in full effect. It also seems we're seeing a return of the full scale expansion pack. I hope to hear more from the all-maker and what became of the tribunal temple, Vivec and the Ordinators.

I still think magic is pretty broken in this game. Especially that "stun" effect from casting using both hands. That being said, I never played a meele character, but from what you are saying they are even more imabalanced, lol. 100% reduction isn't even needed, you can just boost your magicka regeneration rate a lot. Arch mages robe + morokei mask = +250% magicka regeneration or so.
Agreed; dual destruction cast & Impact perks with 100% Reduction for Destruction is absolutely cheap. Not a single person can take me on when I got those items on, even on Master. I hated how Bethesda made the classes so overpowered &/or cheap in this game. On top of that, the leveling system sucks. It's a good thing the Ohgma Infinium book was there to bypass the shitty bullshit leveling system though. Why does the leveling system suck? Because if I wanna be a certain class, that class should be the only thing that matters to me getting to level 81 in the first place, but because its not like that, I would of had to kill my life time by throwing a large portion of it into leveling up all those pointless skills that I wouldn't spend any perks in, just so I could be level 81. Thank Mora that the book was in Skyrim, because if I had to level up those pointless skills, I think I would'nt be here talking about Skyrim.

However, there were more bs to experience in the game, after becoming level 81 & that was the overpowered cheapness I could have just to become immortal. Also the story of the Dragon Born was a total fail, it didn't even last long in my opinion. The story was a little too short to me, finished it in less then 3 hours. I didn't care about the Dark Brotherhood or the College of Winterhold or the Thieves Guild too much. I wanted to hear more about the Dragon Borns story, but it was too short so I guess it didn't matter.

I got a Lv 81 High Elf Berserking Battle Mage (Name: Ursula). Now, I don't know why I still hang around this game in terms of its gameplay, but I do know why I hang around it for its overall purpose. The overall purpose is because Ursula looks hotter then how modders can make their females (Thats truly sad). If I had mods, I wouldn't change anything about Ursula, because she's that hot. She looks like Ellen from Kingdom Under Fire if you really look at Ursula, just more of an adult then Ellen is (Ellen looks like a teen to me).

About Ursula, she was indestructible until I got bored so quick because not a single person can take her on. She was ultimately cheap, she couldn't be scratched, she had unlimited magicka, she could spam SUPREME damage, she stuns you with every hit, she had unlimited dragon hide (her defense & health were out of the gods league), paralyze & summons weren't even necessary. Words cannot describe how powerful Ursula is, despite of her captivating appeal. There's not a DLC that Bethesda can make that'll make Ursula quake, but only make her smile slowly as she sits at the tallest tower in the College of Winterhold, just waiting....... -.-

This should be a ultimate legendary prophecy that online dragon borns should team up & awaken Ursula's unimaginable power. Ursula sealed in Ice by her own will at the top of a floating ruin above Skyrim. Online dragon borns come to awaken her slumber to show themselves how feeble they are to The Legendary Dragon Born (Ultimate Form).

jk.... but yeah, Ursula is undescribably cheap, Master doesn't got anything on Ursula, anything.........
