Skyrim

I wouldn't say this game is too easy. Getting 100 in smithing, enchanting, and alchemy takes a very long time to achieve. Try playing on master difficulty right from the very beginning, and then tell me the game is too easy.

With my mage character, I had to rely HEAVILY on atronachs for distraction. Even with the mages robes and that +100 magic regen mask (forgot the name), I was having mana problems big time. I was forced to cast atronach over and over again in sneak mode so they could slowly widdle them down, because if they detected me it was 1-2 hits and I was dead. Not to mention, in the beginning your alchemy sucks, so not only do you NOT get enough potions, they also really suck.

With my one handed/heavy armor character, there was NO way in hell I could play at master difficulty right from the beginning. It just wasn't gonna happen. I had to hit them like 15 times, and if they hit me 3 or 4 times I was dead. It wasn't until level 25 where I could play at master difficulty.

In all honesty though, to me the most broken type of character in this game is a sneaky archer. Able to play at master difficulty, right from the beginning, with few issues.

If you still find this game to be too easy, then just completely neglect enchanting, and only use what you find. My first character was like that, before I understood how broken enchanting is, and it WAS actually hard. Seems to me like enchanting is where all the brokenness comes from.

On the topic of brokenness, my daedric sword is doing over 500 damage right now, and my one handed skill is only 90 right now!

Yeah, that's possibly true about the enchanting.

I played on master difficulty since the beginning, also I only play mages exclusively. I know you can die in two-three hits but it easy to avoid getting hit at all. The enemy will mostly focus on your summoned creatures, and he won't be able to get near you if you have the impact perk for dual casting.

I think enchanting+impact perk is really stupid. If you can cast spells for free, you will win every battle because your opponent won't be able to move. This seems to work against every enemy, dragons included. For example, dual casted fireball > enemy staggered. During the stagger you charge another fireball and repeat. Stupid and boring, lol.

It's different of course when you can't cast spells for free. Since dual casting uses a lot more MP, you can quickly run out of mana using this strategy.

I agree, enchanting+impact perk is stupid. I can fight any enemy and not get hurt.

Two summon dremora lords + Dual thunderbolts spell with zero mana cost = Death to anyone who stands in my way.

You don't get the impact perk until (level 50 is it?) in destruction. So, right from the beginning, it's still very hard. It's especially hard in caves where you can't exactly back away from things without getting semi-stuck somewhere.

I think the balance is just fine IF you neglect smithing and enchanting. Especially smithing, you can get your armor and weapons to retarded numbers.
