Resistance 1 and 2

I've been saying for a long time that Resistance > Halo... but sadly, I wont be getting Resistance 3.

Not because R2 is a bad game; on the contrary, its a GREAT game. But I won't be buying R3 because of the "Killing Machine" trophy in R2. It has taken all of the fun out of the game. Yes, I know, you will say "you dont have to get the trophy"; but I do. I have "Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OCPD), and I can't play R2 unless its to get this trophy. I'm sick of it, and this Killing Machine trophy isn't a measurement of skill at all; its just about worthless grinding. So when R3 comes out, I'll rent it; beat it over a weekend, and then return it.

This, and the lack of SPLITSCREEN LAN... means I can never play this game with my friends. With R1, we used to get together once a week and just duke it out with each other non-stop for the entire night. Now; we don't even consider Resistance as a game to play anymore.

Yeah, but the difference is... I dont get trophies because I'm a "trophy whore". A trophy whore gets trophies/achievements because they want to show off that they are better than everyone else. I go for the trophies because I am OCPD, and I dont consider myself haven beaten the games until I do. And I cant enjoy the game, unless I can get 100%. The games you see on my list that dont have 100%; I dont play them anymore, because I cant have fun with those games if I dont have 100%. And since I cant get 100% on them, I can no longer enjoy them.
 
Wow, I want to get a platnum for at least one game but i find the requirements too difficult and give up. Either that or i tend to make a mistake. Ex: I played Uncharted on Normal thinking it would unlock Crushing, nope. So i had to beat the game on hard. After the 7th chapter or so i gave up seeing as how I felt like it was getting boring.
 
lets just hope that killzone 2 doesn't have trophy requirements like that.

If i had known other players here was playing the game, id have asked to join in the fun, now there is no telling where you guys are at.

I was playing with the soldier ( quite strong at hi levels ) and got him to level 30..... then my data got wiped, i think it was me shutting the game off while it was saving, that warning they give you about shutting the game off while its saving to the hdd? yeah, they aren't lying. So now i have been using the spec ops. He is beastly when used right. Divine i notice you said his gun is weak, just aim for their head and they go down a lot faster.

his ability to lay mines can be devastating on most stages with swarms of enemies. Some swear by his first 2 berserks but i prefer snake eyes. Even though the description is pretty misleading ( you get one shot, not two, unless you are level 30 i think with the helmet ) it has more than enough firepower to take out large swarms of chimera. If you take out a large enough crowd, those kills you earned start building up your next berserk. its probably the 3rd most useful berserk on co op, no 1 being backlash and 2 being chloroform
