PSN DOWN WTF?!1

MS is large about the security(for 60 bones a year, it damn well better) but don't sit there thinking its all smiles. XBL can go down too(it has before) and I know individual accounts can be hacked. Prime examples when MajorNelson and the head of XBL security(yeah, LOL) had their accounts hacked. Of course, issue was swiftly resolved and unless you were paying attention to a gaming news site(or twitter/facebook feed) you never heard about it. Just last night, all modded/hacked Xbox 360s strangely were unbanned for a short time and MW2 players are dealing with ppl phishing in Matchmaking.

So no. XBL doesn't help me sleep better at night either, even if I am a huge supporter of the Xbox console.
Now onto Sony. Im outraged and hella pissed that all this happened, simply from Sony being arrogant douches about their console being(and making sure that it was) unhackable and now, not only has the front door of PS3 been kicked in. The beloved Network has been fucked with ALL AS A RESULT, THANK YOU SONY! As a consumer, I could give a flying McFuck about downtime, maintenance, or hell even rolling out new security. But learning 9 days in, that my personal info may be obtained through this, all because I figured I was on something secure and trustworthy, for convenience sake...FUCK! Sony has lost me as a customer, once and for all. 9 fucking days in, christ.

Desperate economic times calls for desperate measures. The hackers are probably out to get money from all the accounts or settle a deal with Sony. i mean if they could hack this security system, whats stop them from hacking a new one?

Anon has hacked paypal in the past...did they steal from people? nope. everyone acts as if sony failed big time here...the truth is that ANY company that takes credit cards is just as vulnerable. in all honestly i still think this is just being made into big news because sony wants to draw public sympathy and create a sideshow so that we don't see what is really going on. nobody is getting anything robbed from them. nobody needs to cancel their cards and boycott using them online.

all this talk about Anon and hacking and credit cards and everyone has forgotten what this was about in the first place, which is a major violation of our 4th amendment rights to privacy by a foreign corporation, or any corporation for that matter. this is about private, non government entities gaining access to our browsing history. lets not forget that, or sony has succeeded, and americans have lost big time.

quick politics 101 lesson: open your fucking eyes.
