Whole lot of PS4 discussion going on...Is anyone actually impressed by it? I'm trying to see the appeal at this point.

I'm going to be honest with you Reave. I don't see a need to convince you to buy a system. I'm a grown man. I'm hoping you're grown person to. That said, there's so many places for you to look and make a decision. I don't see that need to make a decision for you. Is there something you like on the ps4? something that warrants a purchase? No? then don't buy one. Fuck off. and rightly so. Act like a grown person. you got money? you got a job? Then spend that shit where you want to.
I'm buying a PS4. I was satisfied with their service with PS3, I was satisfied with their service with PS2. And I'm staying here until Sony dissatisfies me in anyway.

MS fucked me over with one generation. That xbox fucked me up. She ain't talk to me right. Heard stories with the 360 and said, I'm not fucking with it. don't need it. I'm thinking about getting the one, and then I see that bullshit they pullin, and I said no thank you. My money will be spent on Sony's once again. Will I eventually get the One? maybe, Killer Instinct, Crimson Dragon, and Sunset Overdrive really looks appealing to me. But the question is, do I want to put up with that bullshit? Nah... So I can wait.

Sony didn't bring anything controversial. they brought what they always bring. games. I know what I'm getting. If you're disinterested in that? Fine by me. But for real, there are plenty of sources that'll let you know what the PS4 is about to figure out what interests you. If there's nothing there, save your money and put it to better use. Pay your rent. bills. grown up shit. I'm hopin you're grown now so you have responsibility. You have priorities don't you? Well figure where they lie and go there.

but just to assuage your temper and to humor you for a quick second. I'm getting a PS4. I was satisfied with their services with PS3, and I like where they're going with PS4. See me there. If not, ey.. Go with what makes you happy. I can't fault you for nothin. It's what you want.

I'm still baffled by your strident love of the XBOne.

As for the PS4, I'm mainly interested in its potential right now. I don't care about shooters or racers so MS has nothing, (further mooted by their DRM) KI I never liked, and Ryse looks like a on rails Kinect title with no compelling gameplay.

Sony's 1st party stuff tends to be quality and 3rd party ports on PS4 are guaranteed to be superior. PS+ has proven to be an incredible value to me between the PS3 and the Vita so that's not a paywall I'm going to notice. (I'm canceling Gold after this year since XBOne's forever closed off to me.) It's likely to be the tournament standard for FG's with all of MS' ridiculous restrictions getting in the way as well.

MS is a horse with a broken leg at this point.

The console? Yes
The games? Not so much so far. A few interesting ones here and there but i am probably waiting until better games come out before i buy one.

With Nintendo i just think they are going the wrong route with their console and its rather low power, i am apparently not their target audience anymore but it has a few interesting games.

MS has dissapointed me in all areas.

@Madnis You are making it out to be much deeper than it really is. I was just asking what people's opinions of PS4 are. Everywhere I look its people hating on X1 and in most cases its misinformation like not being able to buy/sell used X1 games. Very little positive talk about what Sony is innovating for the console.

@Marginal I don't love a piece of equipment. Just didn't see anything ground breaking from Sony or their exclusives and it seems their only buzz is they aren't requiring an Internet connection once every 24hrs. Sony has four shooters and two racers if you hadn't noticed. That's not counting the indie games either.

I was simply asking what people who are more invested than I in Sony, like about the PS4. Didn't know I'd get burned at the stake for such a malicious question...

Whats the appeal xbox?

Dead Rising 3 looks amazing so far and I'm probably one of the most overly critical person when it comes to zombie games. Its published by MS so I don't see it coming out on PS4 like the original Dead Rising didn't.

Killer Instinct because I like fighting games. I'd rather try something I used to like back in the day before I write it off as ass or something. I'm hoping it doesn't get left in the dust again. Would like to see Bloody Roar taking the stage again as well.

Quantum Break looks to be trying to blur the lines between TV and games. Something I hoped Defiance would do but didn't execute it well from my perspective. Will need to see more actual gameplay though.

Being able to use one gold membership for every account on the console. Now I don't have to let my little nephews/cousins play on my account and possibly mess up my saved games or buying something.

Sharing my whole game library digitally with 10 other people inside "family" plan.

Streaming my gameplay straight to twitch TV or watching a friend playing a game while I play my own.

fair enough. As I stated before, the PS4 is basically the safe bet for me.
I know what I'm getting when I hear the word Playstation.

as for games:
Naughty Dog got something up their sleeves for this system. Order 1886 looks interesting from the trailer, and it's refreshing seeing Santa Monica Studios work on something other than God of War. Need to see what the Little Big Planet devs are up to. Japan studios working on Knack but Japan Studios is more than one, so I'm interested to see what else is coming for it.

PS4 is not region locked, so like the PS3, if there's a game i want to see that might not be coming stateside (like a Korean developed game) I can snag that.

I understand your frustrations about what's going on.. I'm just tired of hearing it from you. Try not to let other people's opinions of your preferred system get to you. If just needless stress that you really don't need. I was going thru the same shit you were when the PS3 initially dropped. I just learned to just be happy with what I got.
