So basically xbox live for psn, we got it. Next question, is anyone mad that they have to pay $5 a month? People who already use xbl shouldn't answer this question.

Well its pretty much what a plus subscription costs now (15 bucks for 3 months, 50 bucks for a year).
I actually happened to buy a year of PS+ a few days ago lol

I think the service is worth 10 times the price you pay for, given the free games you get every month but it still leaves a bitter taste.

What I want to know is if someone can't afford $5 a month what business do they have owning any kind of game console in the first place?

anybody can have business owning a console regardless of who they are, what they do or what they play. if it meant the difference between playing online and buying a game, for somebody on a tight budget, or for a kid on an allowance, i can see reason why they would own a console and not afford $5 a month.

money does not determine your right to use a piece of hardware you already bought. dont make the mistake of thinking that, because you dont want to know where that road leads.

on a side note they are perfectly capable of still playing offline at least. im fine with that.
