If you're defending modders and people who hack games, then you must not be a big PC gamer in the first place. Hackers made old CoD games virtually unplayable until they introduced DRM. All game pirates are scum in my eyes, because they're literally robbing the developer.

Skyrim says hi. Oblivion says hi. Morrowind says hi. Diablo1 says hi. Diablo2 says hi. Half the PC library, says hi. All of those games were made better and more enjoyable by modders and hackers. Nice try though.

You have to sync once every 24 hours, once you log back online - license verified - free to game on. It's not like it vanishes off your hard drive. And if you aren't able to log on physically once every 24 hours, then sure complain, but that just means your personal internet is horrible and you need a new service provider. Or you live in a 3rd world country. Either way, it won't effect me, or millions of others.

So basically you're telling me to suck it up because it doesnt effect you? Thats a very, very narrow minded way of looking at things.

DRM or Digital Rights Management isn't even worth complaining about, and here is why.

1) All you need to do is sign on once every 24 hours to verify your license to the product, it's nothing inconveniencing because hell, you need to have an internet connection in the first place to even complain about the Xbox One! You sign in - it's verified - game on.

2) People who hate DRM the most are pirates, hackers, and people who want to rent games. Hackers hate DRM because it makes the game harder to mod. Pirates hate it because they can't pirate the game and put it up for Free Download on bit torrent sites. Renters hate DRM because the obvious, you can't resell the game after you purchased it, you're the exclusive owner to the product.

3) It's not even worth bitching about because it's going to be just like how Steam works, and the Xbox Marketplace has worked the past few years. Instead of a game disc, you're basically going to get an install disc. People who say "I have to be online to verify my rights to it though!" That isn't hard at all, I'm sorry if you're playing in Iraq or Africa, but it's not a problem for 99% of gamers. Being online and having an internet connection to play games? IMPOSSIBRU!!

P.S. There is nothing 'morally' wrong with cutting renters out of the equation, as there is nothing 'morally' justified by renters playing games that they didn't give the developer one cent for. There will always be free games to play, and people love them.

Quoted for anyone who cares to read factual comments, not biased "Well if I'm playing in a cave located south of the Russian border.. I can't connect to the internet!!.."

Thank you.

Sometimes it makes me sad that I didn't become the mod for the general discussion forum but then I'd just delete so much that I would be like a dictator. A cool dictator with a parrot.

seeing youself as the next Kane? *Tekkenzaibatsu reference*

but yeah... MS is really making it easy to sell the ps4 right now. But, I shouldn't jump the gun too much, it's very possible Sony will reveal similar plans during their E3 conference. PSVita sounded all peaches and roses until they laid out all their plans.

now it's just another PSP....

What I am interested in is how PSV and PS4 will work with each other. I still feel it was a hell of a missed opportunity with PS3, but ps3 was a bunch of missed opportunities...
for example:
I really liked the concept of Home. Seemed like it was a fun idea, but the XMB was just easier to access than Home.

1. I am a PC gamer, and mods are great for enhancing the game experience most of the time. When I play DAO on my PC, I play with mods active.

2. New Zealand internet sucks, while I am where I live I can usually connect to the internet consistently, but the other day the internet when down for a while here, also the power got knocked out the other day too so you can't rely on the internet being reliable all the time and if I have to connect to the internet every 24 hours I might not be able to do that. Also, if I still lived at the same house where I did a couple of years ago, I would be unable to connect to the internet there and I would be unable to play any games there. So it does actually affect some people the being able to connect every 24 hours.

3. Why are we even discussing this? This is the PS4 DISCUSSION THREAD, not the xbox discussion thread gosh...
