PC vs Consoles

Which platform is home to you?

I'm sure you also stupidly forgot that home consoles devote 95% of their RAM power to games, and games alone...
Oh really? Looks like someone failed their math class.
Nobody gives a crap about a system that doesn't host the latest, most popular game titles.
Not sure if I agree; I literally got my Xbox exclusively for Calibur and Vanquish, and I only did it because it costed about 40 bucks. And the system corrupted my Vanquish savefile because YOLO.

Also, what are these "popular games" you speak of? Forza..? Halo? GTA? The PS3 got a couple of nice indie exclusives near the end of its lifespan, I'll give you that, but other than that there's not much of worth that you can't already play on a PC... except for Nintendo exclusives. Assasin's Creed, Battlefield, Saints Row, Elder Scrolls, Rayman Legends, Divekick, even that CoD crap everyone seems to love. It's all on PC. Plus an infinite supply of doujin open source games. And emulators (so you get a bunch of free consoles with your PC).

Lol @ Norik being back in this topic! xD

I thought he put me on /Ignore and rage quit this convo. Good to see I've inspired him to return to this topic. Hahaha, he just can't let his ego subside. =]

Fan made games usually suck, they're basically a low graded version of Indie games. And while we're in the discussion of low budget games, did you know how many Xbox360 and PS3 Japanese title games never see life on a gaming PC? About 80% of them. Games like Touhou you basically need to pirate with bit torrents, because Steam doesn't carry lots of Japanese games. Not to mention if you're a fighting game player, you have ZERO interesting in owning a gaming PC.

-Can't play Soul Calibur.
-Can't play Tekken tag 2.
-Cant' play BlazBlue.
-Can't play Dead or Alive 5.

The list goes on and on.... You also get screwed out of the best games like Halo and GTA5. If you're a gaming PC owner, you get screwed, bottom line. That's why you read about all this nonsense "petition" crap by PC gamers online, they're basically begging publishers to port games so they can play them. Sad.......

LOL. Now I can never be sure if you were just joking all this time.

Also, you can play Blazblue. More evidence of you not knowing what you're talking about. You can also play Street Fighter, KOF, Mortal Kombat, xTekken... So if your concern is lack of games, you're simply not doing your research.

So this is where it all stems. You just have the taste of a 10 year old. I've been giving you too much credit all this time.

You're right, I should have never come back to this thread.

I can ignore the pointless debate about the merits of of exclusive PC vs exclusive console. However, there is too much misinformation that cannot be perpetuated.

"Average gaming PC with the latest specs costs around 1K if you build it yourself.
Don't quote yahoo answers like it's some bible as the absolute truth.
Again, what people are telling you is that you are paying a premium for a pre-assembled name-brand all-in-one PC. If you are able to build one your self, you can save significantly. Obviously computer peripherals you could get away with using an existing one.

My friend Chris is selling his Liquid Cooling hypertech PC with optimized RAM + Cooling systems + 64 bits Graphic's Card with the highest performance, and a whopping 32 Gigs of RAM... All for $2,400.
Don't name drop, and especially don't say it is your "friend" and expect anyone to be impressed or to have your comments validated. Describing your friend doesn't make you more knowledgeable of the subject. I'm happy for his price of $2,400, but you seem to have have no clue as to what would make it worth $2,400 (at least his asking price).

What is 64 bit graphics card ? 32 gig ram kits can be acquired for about $300 bucks, so thats $2,100 for the rest of the components. Again, I have no reason why i'm even trying to help you break it down, but that's like describing how awesome a car your friend is selling for $100,000 and then telling people that it has nice rims and cup holders without providing any other information.

Nice job looking like a fool Slade by showing a graphics card cost only $72 when the high end ones cost about $100-120.
Hate to break it to you, but $100 gpus are considered mid-mainstream at best. Reading slade's post, the only thing that is 72 bucks is the RAM, not the GPU and those are 2 different pieces of hardware. I am beginning to question whether you know anything about a PC.
And those aren't even the high-end Microtel models.
A "Microtel" PC is only as good as its components, and falling for brand name (rather than the actual pieces of hardware) is a good way for a fool and his money to be parted. Really, out of all the name brands to whore out, you choose Microtel. Their website shows their line of products ranging from kiosks to industrial appliances. I don't think that is a good choice even in the first place.

You can debate about how great the consoles are, I won't argue with you on that front. However, you appear to know next to nothing about the current PC market so you're using misinformation as your platform to slam PCs.
>7870 is a "second rate GPU"
7870 with its free games at $200, while a great deal, certainly can't be put in the top tier of GPUs available currently, especially with the 9000 series just around the corner.

Omg, the moronic nerds in this topic. LOL!

I literally picture a bunch of guys with thick brimmed glasses going "No no! you got the specs wrong! No no! It has 7 GB of RAM, not 8!"

Everyone in this topic owns a console to play games on, FACT.

Everyone in this topic owns a console to be able to play Soul Calibur.

Shut the hell up with your nerdgasms. PC gaming costs a lot more, I built 2 PCs myself as a kid since 2003, (The FFXI days.) Seriously, and anyone who buys GTA5 tomorrow is a retarded hypocrite, because you need a console to play that game.

'Nuff said. And stop with this stupid "Oh this piece of hard ware you can buy online for $200, not $300!" Seriously, nerds, nobody cares, it still costs a lot, shut up.
