Official Soulcalibur V 1.02 Patch Notes!

In Gloomy :6::6: or :3::3: or :9::9::bA+B+K: (Wild Beat Scherzo (change persona)): decreased damage (20→15). Decreased chance of personality change.

This should say "In Jolly". Wild Beat Scherzo is the Jolly BE. Just in case ppl may have been confused at all.
 
the backdash nerf is far bigger than most people think. the individual character stuff is trivial until we see how it effects the game. characters like astaroth just took a HUGE nerf because of the game mechanics, not because of his move properties, while things like iGDR and tasB got massive buffs, even though they both technically got nerfed if you only look at move properties.

i am so happy right now.

Eventually my common sense took back over (this morning) and came to the conclusion I acted like a fuck about this whole thing. I take back my original statement. I'm jumping back in, headfirst and taking these nerfs like a man. Me complaining about a balance patch really make me no better than those who whined enough to make it possible.

We should get some matches in one day. Im a decent Viola/Poe player, nothing spectacular.
 
rekano, maxi's biggest weakness was backdashing safely against his options until he whiffed. now, doing so will grant him a CH. people are forced to stay in and play his guessing game.

you need to look at the bigger picture. all his individual tweaks aside, i think that this patch will make him far stronger in the long run.

i see lots of complaints about, say, NM not really getting nerfed.

are you guys serious? taking away his safe backdash and devastating his spacing game isn't nerf? i must be pretty dumb, then, because it looks to me like a HUGE nerf on NM.
