hey dudes, thanks for the recommendations!

i've seen Bebop, Elfin Lied, and Sword of the Stranger. all were enjoyable.

both dark and philosophical is possible-- it was achieved to great success in Death Note, IMO. also, i would imagine there are a few anime where dystopian futures feature enhanced humans debating the meaning/validity of their existence.. that counts too ;)

any i'll check out Wicked City and Tokko and FLCL. :thumbsup:


DMC is kinda like Spinal Tap in a way... haha it's pretty twisted though. prolly one of my favorite things ever :P there's a manga too, but it's not quite as awesome.

lol. well i've watched one of the Legend of the Overfiend movies and Akira on shrooms, does that count? :P

i watched two episodes of FLCL so far. pretty whacky, which is good, but maybe a bit too ADD-ish for me. will continue to watch though, its unpredictability is definitely fun.
