Geass honestly barely feels like a mecha show to me, even if there are mechs. I know I didn't watch the show because it had mechs, it was just a bonus. The characters and story are the real strong point, and the show moves along at a good pace. It's not perfect of course, but nothing is perfect. still best anime I've ever seen

on another note, Darker than Black is a good show. if it looks interesting to you give it a try

gotta check that out, think i may have seen 1 or two.

yea i dont even like mechs but loved code geass, it wasnt even about the mechs. also tenjho tenghe is da bomb and le chevalier de eon looked good from what ive seen so far

WOW

Code Geass is well written, as well written as anime could be. And throwing aside that Sunrise was all over it, which makes it HARD to get over the fact that it's going to be over dramatized, always is, but aside from that it is excellent. And it's not always overly drawn out which I like. Point is, it is great, both seasons pull together some sad ass (i mean cry not bad) kills that make you wonder what they're really going to do since by that point there isn't going to be a happy ending for anyone without a Memory wipe or time travel. And the mech portion of it was great because it was like a mix between Full Metal Panic (the most down to earth mech show (well aside form maybe Dai-Guard)) and Eureka 7 (fantastical mech show) out there, with of course the Gundam poses, and YES they do start flying by season 2, can have a world war without flying ships and suits man. But like others say it's more of the people and their plans for the world then the Mechs they're using to do it.

I also have yet to see Sunrise make a TERRIBLE show, the worst i've seen is SEED Destiny from them, and that was TOLERABLE, like if i had NOTHING to watch type tolerable, it wouldn't be bad. (did Sunrise make Gundam SD?)

But that's just me, just seeing how the main characters vaguely change overall throughout the show but the side characters being forced to change in one way or another is just great in itself.

Darker than BLACK is cool, but a little episodic with like the mission of the week feel, le Chevalier is amazing, it's the reason why Blood+ got shot down to SHIT. KyoAni is perfection lol

popotan is hilarious and completely retarded, origin was a badass movie tekkonkinkreet was as much fun to watch as it is to say and has ne one else seen kakurenbo?

and karas was confusing but very pretty. i just felt like i was missing something or part of the story from that movie
