I like the first season of code geass...I couldn't finish the second season...enuff of dat ish.

Geass honestly barely feels like a mecha show to me, even if there are mechs. I know I didn't watch the show because it had mechs, it was just a bonus. The characters and story are the real strong point, and the show moves along at a good pace. It's not perfect of course, but nothing is perfect. still best anime I've ever seen

on another note, Darker than Black is a good show. if it looks interesting to you give it a try

Code Geass didn't actually draw me in until around near the end once the Euphemia factor came about. Season 2, however, was excellent.

Maybe they´ve been mentioned already, but I lost my heart and brain to Puni Puni Poemi and Excel Saga.

Otherwise, I´m currently watching Afro Samurai and Blade of the Immortal.
