Less and Less Time for Video Games...

This happened to me as well. The only games I seem to play frequently are fighting games, and even that is seldom (ie - only in the presence of some competition or company). I'll play some Bioware RPGs though, but once I'm through with them, I really don't play much of anything at all.

This also occurred with anime. Thought I'd never get bored of it but around 3-4 years ago my interest began to wane. Only a few titles hold my interest really. Got tired of all the repeated stuff you see over and over except dressed differently. It's just not funny to me or entertaining anymore. I tried watching that Clannad shit that everyone keeps saying is good, but after around 5 episodes it felt like I was being forcefed. Too much dumb cutesy retarded shit that really turned me off. I can see myself probably liking it when I was younger, but now?

I noticed I use my PS3 more for watching shows and movies, rather than games.

My suggestion: Don't turn your brain off. If it sucks, it sucks. It's a natural transition in your life. Listen, SC4 is more or less the only game I play. My PS3 was a glorified SC4 machine. There's nothing wrong with that. Branch out and find something else to do, maybe.

I disagree. There is no reason you can't enjoy mature and I suppose, juvenile, entertainment. I think this applies to life in general as well- It's a cliche that kids are happier than adults, and I think it's because the older you get the more seriously you take things. Many are probably playing now just for the culture and camaraderie- but then again, I would hardly know the difference between old and young.

I mean you don't have to play games, but I think it's sad to give up something that once made you so happy, and even sadder to persist at it but not enjoy it.

Lol me too, I somehow made it to episode 10 though. People say it's supposed to be one of the best/most moving animes, but the plot doesn't even make sense.

my roomate in college was bugging me to watch it for forever but I'd seen part of another Key(?) series, the Kanon remake and was totally bored after a few episodes so I figured teh same thing would happen. eventually he got me to watch about half the first season with him but it was so slow and boring >_>
