Humans are fucked.

Sepha, I have no problems with your views. I can understand why somebody would want to be a vegetarian, I can understand why some people would only be comfortable eating from animals they kill. Two of my best friends were vegetarians for many years, I never gave them grief about it they never gave me grief about it.

The thing that ticks me off is when people start placing the immoral label on something they don't agree with, and doing it out in the open to attract attention. That's a strong word, and it usually leads to smugness and superiority and proselytizing. To me, vegetarians who try to convince you not to eat meat are no better than any religious person that comes door to door trying to convince me to convert. I would assume you wouldn't put it that way, since you help your friends prepare the meal and presumably you wouldn't help them do something you thought was immoral!

When the label put on is stronger than just immoral, but comparing it to one of the worst crimes in human history, one that I have a personal stake in, then I get angry, and I feel vindictive towards the other person. And when the person is posting poorly worded post after post that is dead easy for me to logically cut apart... well this is the result.

Well Chaos I didn't watch the whole video but I assumed this thread was about, how our ridiculous demand for meat is the direct cause of our destruction.

I don't know what they put in animals to accelerate their growth rate to meet demand...but those chemicals can't be good for your immune systems, or your children.

No pleasure is without consequence.

Yeah but they are so delicious *pulls out A1 sauce*.

In all seriousness, I somewhat feel like a hypocrite. I mean, I like meat (stay with me here), but at the same time, I have trouble watching bloddy gory things and suffering of, well, anything for that matter.

Im not one to judge anyone based on thier own beliefs. If thats what makes you happy in life....then more power to ya. I just dont it when people preach. Ill sit and listen for awhile but I tell you Im not interested....dont bust my balls!!

Well I am vegetarian, but I don't necessary care for animals. I might fall on the ground just to avoid stepping on a bug...but an animal is still an animal. Animals aren't my friends, they will eat me if I give them the chance is my philosophy.

So when people prosecute guys like Michael Vick I am taken aback. What's the difference? You can't mistreat an animal unless you going to eat it? Overall human beings are just self saving hypocrites...

I find some dog lovers to be hella weird.

My point is if you're going to put a KFC commercial in my face, why not put some chicken fights or dog fights on TV. I will watch the hella out of that.
