Makes sense for the most part. You forgot to include that certain strings are natural combos and can't be held out of no matter what. Like Kokoro's 4PPP, and Hayate's 2-in-1: 3F+KK. For the most part. You don't really need to put your opponent in red critical stun. I prefer to forgo it most of the time and just look for opportunities to launch them after hitting them with a stun. Less hassle that way with trying to guess whether my opponent is going to hold out of them or not.

Then again, I play Kokoro, so that strategy is a lot easier to do with her than with some other characters.
 
I didn't mention all the unholdables because I didn't buy the strat guide, they are listed in the strat guide though. I was just giving a basic idea of how to play so people stopped crying for things like "I want to side step while I am stunned" Like REALLY!? the fact you can limit your enemies attacks by counter holding in 1 place, thats bad enough, but its like wanting someone to heavy hit or counter hit you, and you only not be able to attack/throw. And for you I will add a note, (Launching is always a good idea) I thought the fact that I mentioned that people can't do anything after you launched them was a good enough hint, but launching is a REALLY good idea instead of critical bursting because most characters have a critical burst that is a mid punch... I think Zack, Alpha, and someone else have a CB! that is a kick. (alpha has 3 CB!'s, only 2 are effective, the third puts you into stance which is crap for players)

Personally as a Ryu player, I just like countering into izuna drops, they do 112 damage if you do them at the last moment...
