Hate Speech: We Talkin' Bout Practice?

I really hate when companies feel like they have to dumb down their games or remove the competitive aspect of the fighting game just because certain people (IGN included) dont want to take the time to learn the game within that free time they have to play it, let alone complain about the difficulty of combo excection or control scheme. Games should not get easier for the casuals, just more accessable, a better, more thourogh explainitory tutorial would help out a bit. SC is a step above some other fighters where it actually shows you how the moves should look like when done right, all it needs is a little animation of finger adjustment and motion. Tutorials should also provide small examples of when to use the moves, I think SC3 sort of did that. Kinda. The Ai needs to do its part though, they need to take full advantage of the combo they use, and not stop half way into it just to stand still for a second.

On this note, why is Mitsurugi always the punching bag now? why cant it just be anyone we want but still grey? or the weapon master character, Olcadon?
 
I just thought of a wonderful example of where playing the AI can be productive. Just give it some mid level AI ranking and use it for combo practice. Think of it as a random training dummy for you to wail on so you can get used to hitting a moving target instead of a dummy that just stands there.
