Totally unrelated, but characters make noise when a grab is input right after commands like 66/236 etc, so you could theoretically use it to increase your chance of breaking grabs that include those commands.

If only audio cues weren't a liability. Good luck hearing them if your tournament match gets hype and a crowd makes any kind of noise

Some grabs in SC are breakable on reaction. Mitsurugi A and B throws in SC2 and 3 had different animation, where when Mitsu used B throw opponent dummy would raise hands above his head, and in A throw that didnt happen.
You cant react to throw animation inself though (at least normal ones) since thebreak window opens too early and is too small.

Well, since my own article is finally up on SRK, I can finally post this reply that I've been meaning to post for awhile now.

Now while the stuff that Hates talks about is important, a bigger factor to SCII being seen as a legit game is the fact that people loved and played it. the community and the choice of playing a certain game is, for better or worse, a bigger factor towards a game's "legitimacy."

In other words, popularity based on personal preference based on irrationality can make something legitimate.
