Hate Speech: A Seasonal Feast

I just find it the best because my favorite characters in that game weren't the worst characters in the game for once!

Talim, X back then and cassy back then.

Talim of course being the main reason. So I'm biased. That and I never played it competitively at all back then, my opponent was either my parents, who know nothing about fighting games, or the AI.

I just wonder why they didn't keep a bit more of the IMO good stuff,
For example Soul Charge, the wider variation of cancels and wall moves, WL moves and 140% backdash counter, while doing away with the bad stuff you mentioned.

I must admit i'm probably biased because the comparison between SCII and SCIV Taki.
Also take my post with a grain of nostalgia, and i didn't play SCII competitively.
Anyway Natsu looks very SCII Taki-ish so i guess all will be well.
I also guess BE, CE will be better than Soul Charge, too bad i suck at resource management. LOL i might have to fix that.

Does any body really praise SC2 for superior competitive gameplay from it's successors? As far as competitive SC is concerned SC2 really only exceeds with its size of the community. But I dare say as a game, on the merits of game design alone it tramples over SC3 and SC4.

IMO SC3 had the best mechanics.
I don't know Ace, SC3 was BS to me. After going to a few tourneys and placing high only to be put out by some kind of glitch crap was what made me retire from that game fast. Put it this way, the game was so bad that namco re-released it on arcade and fixed all that glitch BS but who was gonna play it then?

I also kind of see the oki complaint from both sides- I remember playing a match where a local player was running a simple NM 3B/Hell Sweep mixup repeatedly on a downed opponent and shouting "THERE'S NO OKI IN SC2" while doing it..
Just because idiots fall for mixups that shouldn't be mixups, doesn't make them mixups. It just makes that dude an idiot with a penchant for shouting.
