Favourite Fighting Games beside SC

BlazBlue, because the only thing I can find to dislike about it really is my extremely lacking skillset (which is no fault of the game's). Tekken next, because it's just a blast to play. Especially Tag. Probably best fighter to play with a big group of friends, IMO. After that, Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, and MvC in no particular order. Also, many other fighters I still want to try.

I'm pretty much just obsessed with this genre, despite being below average at best in terms of skill. They're just more fun to me than other multiplayer games, like shooters (not hating on shooters, they're just not my cup of tea). I also love RPGs (Morrowind and other ES games and KOTOR games on top of that pile) and strategy games (Civ is a drug). But fighters will probably always be on top.

Many would disagree with you. Dissidia's balance was good, but not that good. Gabranth was arguably the strongest character in the game with the right equipment and setups to get near infinite EX-Mode. Something I haven't quite figured out how to replicate in in Duodecim.

But because stages, equipment and assists all play a big part of a character, it can be difficult to size up a character relative to the rest of the cast. Gabranth was a wrecking force in Dissidia, but in Duodecim - with the ability to cancel enemy EX-Modes, his power is greatly diminished. Still I hear a lot of players still put him as one of the strongest characters because Innocence still remains incredibly strong.

I believe that, given the changes to Duodecim, you can't really get nigh-infinite EX Mode unless you completely sacrifice your Assist gauge, which I don't recommend. Gabranth's still damn good with a generic EX build, simply because he can set up an assist combo from anywhere with just about any assist.

Honestly, I think Gabby's better in 012. He now has no bad HP attacks (Guilt doesn't fully activate unless you hit), generates EX Force slightly faster, and still packs one of the strongest non-Ultima-Weapon EX Bursts.

I couldn't tell, Tidus is my favorite but I don't see many using him,
Gabranth is my second I try use Demon Wall until I'm able to fill the EX gauge and them I try go for a broken,
Tidus is just making his bravery goes as high as possible to when I try the HP attacks because they tend to whiff, especially if the range is not good for him.
People say bad things about CoD but most of her HP attacks are multi hit tracking attacks.
Any of you use Ultimecia (besides Apocalypse brokenness) to full extent?

(We need a Dissidia thread lol)

My favorite fighting game would have to be Blazblue, its such a great game and I actually got somewhat decent at it when I actually played alot. Im planning to get back into it when the new one releases on consoles, and hopefully that will be soon!
