Yes, I'm starting this discussion again based on an message that Nuez just sent me.
We potentially see the SC4 community shrinking in the next year, with the upcoming release of Bloodline Rebellion. So the question remains, do we expand this community to include Tekken? It fits since both Tekken and Soulcalibur are 3D fighters, and both released by Namco. As well, could this backfire? We want to hitch onto other fighting games in the hopes of keeping SC4 alive, but there is a risk we could also kill interest in SC4 by shifting the focus to another game. What do you guys think? I would like to hear opinions from the community. If we want to do this, we should do it NOW, before BR comes out. AstralHeat failed because we were late on the uptake.Nuez said:sup jaxel, long time no see homeslice ...
so I read you're closing AH.com, it's the right move
this made me realize something though ... what you've set up for 8WR, and now AH.com, is probably the best forum set-up for competitive fighting games that I've ever seen anywhere on the internet
between the forums themselves, the wiki, the videos section (huge plus), and the ladders and online tournaments that are run here, this is probably the best competitive game site out there, especially when you consider the general friendliness and welcoming nature of the community on 8WR
anyway, would you consider expanding the 8WR site and it's features to include multiple games? SRK was created for the SF community but it grew into something much bigger than that. Your site has the potential to do the same thing but even better. If you had the proper help planning, running and funding the expanded 8WR.com, the response would be better than having separate clone sites for each game's community.

Sorry for the novel. Well, not really. Just trying to help. =P
See you at the next monthly.
