E3 2011 Discussion

Allow me to sum up the microsoft conference:

"GET A KINECT OR GET DA FUG OUT!!!"

I have a Kinect, and yet I don't quite know how to feel. It's nice to see the support coming in, it's not so nice to see the Kinect dominate the library. Seriously guys, fable 3 was half-finished so the way you reach out to fans is to make the next game Kinect only? Oh boy. I seriously love me the fable series but Pete has the wrong idea about controllers. Hand me the fable series Pete. I will make things right. Who am I kidding, I'm gonna play it. But I brace for the worst.

But hey, Minecraft on 360. And Youtube. Still no web browser though.

But now you can take pictures of your junk in 3D. That's a plus.

I also learned today that TV IS MORE AMAZING WHEN YOU ARE THE CONTROLLER!

Oh and kinect is going to make people's avatars based on pictures it takes of them! Cool. This should be fun...

"My nose is not that big!" "I am not asian!" "Why did it make me so fat?!?".

I like seeing more Halo, was suspecting they'ed retread for a long time. but that's just me.

Anyone else find the football segment kind of weird?

Also, Mass effect 3 footage. Yay! Me and Garrus, we are gonna take down some Cerberus clowns.

New tomb raider looks interesting. It's like a survival horror game? Seriously? Interesting shift.
 
I'm actually interested in what Xbox Live has in store later this year.

By the way, at least Kinect is now aiming to actual gamers this time, unlike most of the Wii.:D

It is, which is kinda nice to see but a tricky position from MS's standpoint. The market penetration isn't 100% as it stands. I think integration but not reliance (similar to what bioware's doing with mass effect atm) is a smart route to take.

Oh yeah, The Witcher 2 for 360, nice.

After having played way too much infamous I'm looking forward to that Sony conference. Suspect they'll be a lot of hype for NGP though.
 
I shelled out $200 plus fucking dollars on a god damn kinect (and games) for x-mas last year. It was a huge thing at the house for like 2 weeks, then all of a sudden nobody wanted to touch it. So I sold the damn thing.

Fuck Kinect. Its cool technology that still has 5 years EASY of development left before its worth a shit!!

Ubi soft and EA conferences went as expected. Coolest thing was Ghost Recon and Tomb Raider. I only mentiong Ghoast recon because of the weapon smith mode the developed. I have t admit that is the best thing Ive seen with Kinnect so far. Rocksmith could be cool. Depends on how it goes.

Microsoft conference had Halo 4,Ice-T playing Gears 3, and a ton of dumb kinnect stuff. MS is trying to market to the family audience now. Sony conference and Nintendo should be better.
