Dragon's Dogma

Really? I fought one right outside Gran Soryn when I was heading over to the Catacombs.

You guys know where the Snakeskin purse is?
When it comes to them appearing in non-scripted scenarios they are very rare. Even the script you're talking about only happens 50/50 of the time when you're at a certain point in the game. So not counting the scripted quest you get a 50/50 chance to fight 1 griffin per playthrough and if we don't con't that it's 0.

About the snakeshin purse, it's a random item you might get out of a gathering point.

Are there enemies that are stronger than a Griffin? I remember when I wouldn't want to fight a chimera and now if I see one I go out of my way to murder it.
Plenty of them but a Griffin is by far the rarest enemy in the game.
This.

Solo is the dragons dogma professor :D
Ehhhh, I think my advice is more practical. He's been in the realm of the gods too long, lol. Though if the professor would toss me an Ascalon I'd appreciate it. I'm not that high up yet and I want one.

Hey, I have an alt account that's like level 20. :P

Also, if you can find a sword called "Lancer's Sword" I'll give you any item you want(given I have it). That is the only weapon I have not been able to find in this game. I've wanted it for awhile.

EDIT: I just remembered... Metal Golems are more rare than a Griffins. I always forget they're even in the game. Such a pain in the ass to fight.
