Demigod - New from Gas Powered Games...

I had Deja Vu because i had a dream a few weeks ago of me looking at the title of this topic on the home page. I also saw your entire second post before somewhere.
 
The only games I remember buying recently is UT2K3 and SupCom...

Anyone who is thinking about buying this game should be aware that the netcode/multiplayer support for this game is an absolute train wreck. The developers at Stardock and GPG are working feverishly on it, but it's still awful. Be prepared to spend 30-60 minutes in the lobby trying to iron out everyones connection issues before actually getting the game going.

Then, when someone rage-quits, a bug causes everyone else in the game to be dropped. Fun! I'd recommend waiting a couple of weeks before buying. Right now, this is barely playable in pubs and only really fun if you've got an in-house game of some kind (LAN, forum, friends, etc).

Edit: As aside for the pirates, your online experience will probably be even worse unless your torrent also contains Stardocks most recent beta patches. LAN with friends might be workable, but that'd be about it.
 
Lies... there has been a patch in beta for a week now... you can download it if you enable the right options in Impulse... which i recommend. It makes the game SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better. Now I never have any problems with the netcode, and I can do 5v5 games with no lag. Of course, if you download the beta patch, you can only play against others with the beta patch. Which is fine for me, since the level of competition is MUCH higher on the beta servers. If you decide you dont want to play on the beta servers, the beta patch goes live tonight; so you will see a MASSIVE change in how the game works online after today.
