Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

So in DOA, most of the time the person in a situation that would be considered really bad in SC has a chance to directly overturn it? That's what I'm getting from some of this discussion, is that at all accurate?

For the most part... Yes. Well for the okizeme and stun game at least.

But DOA is not SC. DOA has much more focus on mix-ups and making your opponent guess when you're on the offense. This ensures that the defender has a fair chance to get back into the fight by employing counter attacks such as holds or recovery kicks instead of just eating stuns or okizeme beat downs all match. You can't block while grounded like you can in SC for instance.

You guys say the game is more "fair" but the point I was making is that , if they are techrolling up, SURE they can be safe, but if you are attacking and can't be hit, that isn't fair. Thats punishing the better player. Sure there are ways evade both kicks, but what if I knocked them down, tried a follow up like Ryu's teleport kick, and end up eating a foot because of god mode. It doesn't make sense to have god mode in a fighting game. I have no problem with only 2 wall hits before you can't touch someone, thats fine, but I shouldn't have to run away from someone I knocked down, its like Xiba's on the floor B+K, imagine if it was completely invincible...

Welp, my PS3 is dead. Looks like it might be the Blu-ray player that died. I don't know how I'm going to get my data off my 60 gig, let alone play my old PS2 games.
