Pai is set up in DOA so that every action allows her to continue attacking, and to hell with whatever the enemy wants to do because it can take a backseat to her demands. Stuns after throws, okizeme pressure after hard knockdowns, advantage after block, whatever.

She doesn't get a lot of guarantees, but considering she dictates absolutely everything else, why in gods name should she?

i'm not even gonna go into the specifics of why your points aren't accurate. Codemaster would probably be able to elaborate but i can tell this debate will get no where. but i'm guessing you don't fully understand Pai or the details of how she works. you nor Windstar for that matter :P

You're not going to go into the specifics of the character's meta because you don't have the knowledge to do so. Codemaster, if anything, is a shining example of how much of a control freak Pai can be. The only way to keep him from locking you down permanently is to be constantly pro-active in your evasion and neutral gambles. If you start blocking the battle is basically lost, unless you guess right on every single hold.

That's the power Pai has. She forces you to play a dangerous defense instead of a reactive defense. There are a LOT of people who are not comfortable with that and will lose right out of the gate.
 
i'm not going into specifics because it'd be a waste of time and effort. i can see your mind is already made up. and that's a pretty bold statement for you to say i don't have character knowledge even though you clearly don't know who i play or how i play or even who i am. based on your words i've concluded that anything i say, whether factual or not, will not be accepted by you and you will stand by your word. THAT is why i'm not going to waste my time going into character specifics.

well, i'm done with this dead end topic and would like to move on. you may reply if you want to but i won't reply back. i'll wait for someone else to start a new topic unless i come across something and start one myself.
