Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate

After playing day 1 Rachel for a while I don't see how she's broken.

She's quite linear and slow. H+K sucks for anti-step because of its terrible range so that leaves 4PP and 1PP, and of course 4PP is mid punch, like every other move in her arsenal...

The 2K force tech is great for mounting pressure. (Hella pressure.) But, that's only if the enemy decides to lie there or rising kick. If they tech, you succeeded in getting them up, but if you 2K you're left there whiffing (and the stomp doesn't always come out for me so I get the piddly little low kick's recovery, ew.) It ends up being a 50/50 (2K or no 2K?) and on the "no 2K" option I end up walking towards the opponent or using something ranged. (Rachel's walking animation is really slick though so I guess it evens things out.)

At least, this is how I understand it (nobody has answered me at FSD...!)
If it is a just frame, well I'll go throw myself off a cliff then.

PPT is inconsistent for me, it works great sometimes and then sometimes not at all. (I've been using 6KP followup.) I'm checking it in practice mode now and the dummy is blocking it, but I got the combo from the Ain video, so I wonder what's going on, is it me, is it online, is it practice dummy's special powers?

I will admit that if I had something that worked 100% PPT would be pretty gnarly. I've had people twitch duck it, and the CPU has dash turned to avoid my followup, but in practice most (all?) players are suckers and haven't figured it out (that is if my PP isn't getting crushed.)

2H+K is pretty cool but BBs aren't in this game. Well, it makes people panic, I suppose.

Playing against someone like Kasumi, suddenly I'm Astaroth. 1PP all day (of course that juice runs out eventually). Getting hit out of your advantage (that you have to work hard to set up!) really sucks and it feels like I'm on the defensive all the time. Maybe it's my inexperience but I think she will have problems with speedy characters (others have said it in the FSD topic, too).

Absolutely nobody is punishing 1PP so that's cool. Or maybe not...

If she is broken, well, she's not easy mode (as I've heard some people say). And trust me- as a lazy man who only bothered to learn super heavyweight combos for convenience, I know easy mode.

PPT connects if you hit them in neutral or if they're just standing and blocking. Any other and the throw will whiff. The throw/flip itself is basically a reset. If you catch your opponent off guard, then you can easily launch them with a 9K, 6PP or (my personal favorite) 426+T, all of which put your opponent into the air which allows her to do her air throw and lead into her force tech game.

The thing about 2K force tech is that, even if it whiffs, Rachel is at frame advantage. Also, you can make it guaranteed by using certain juggle ender strings (tested on the CPU set to tech out, which should technically do so 1 frame before humans can according to Matt).

I know, I mean... There's nothing guaranteed from it, it's just a mixup?

"Combo" is supposed to mean "guaranteed" isn't it? :|

Even if the animation is not the stomp, and just the generic 2K?

Here's an example, I put it on FSD too.

What are these enders anyway? If someone said them I must have missed them.

ed. I found it, 6PKP is incorrect, it's supposed to be just 6PK, and then the stomp comes out every time. Pretty sweet. I'll trade reliability for 9 damage.

There are others?

Arghhh! I could have won more today! ._.
